People say we need to move ROR and his contract because this team isn't close to contending but they want to sign Tavares with the chance he's gonna get 10-11 a year and we still aren't close to contending. Makes sense to me

To be fair to them (And myself)

Tavares - Superstar Franchise Talent. 5th in scoring in the entire league the last 5 years.

ROR - 2nd line Centerman.

The difference is:

I'll lose all respect for Erik Karlsson if he signs with the Rangers, a team that's rebuilding.

Does anyone know why Pegula let Murray go?

I am not one that wants to trade ROR, but after reading this on the Hotstove, I may have to change positions:

The Sabres should not trade Ryan O'Rielly. With the #1 overall pick, and the graduation of some prospects, the Sabres will be looking to take a step forward this year, and one of the key ways you do that is by having a core group of solid vest to surround the young players. O'Rielly is one of the NHL's most solid and underrated players. You might as well gut the Sabres and try to draft first three more times as to get rid of him. He is the exact player Buffalo would be looking for if they traded him, so why bother?

Tanner seems to be wrong about most things, and if he thinks Buffalo should keep ROR, it may be best to trade him. On the other hand, Gerbe thinks we should trade him, so now I am torn. I wish I could get Ek's opinion on this so I could get a real sense of what the Sabres should do.
